David is a 79 year old widower who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2013. He has always been a very active man keen on distance walking and other outdoor pursuits. Now, with his decreased mobility, he continues these interests where possible with the aid of his wheelchair taking the view that one should focus on what you can do, not what you can't do.

Later this year, in aid of the  Motor Neurone Disease Association, David will be taking part as a wheelchair participant in 3 challenges:

Great East Run - a half marathon in Ipswich on 16th September.              Bournemouth Marathon Festival 10k run on 6th October.                            Great South Run - a 10 mile run in Portsmouth on 21st October.
