My name is Xander Cooper, I work full time as a Professional Wrestler, best known for my appearances at Futureshock Wrestling in Manchester for whom I am their Ambassador.
I am keen to support Forever Manchester because as a small business owner I am keen to support my local community. In my position as Head Trainer at the Futureshock Academy I get to meet and mentor many young people from across Manchester. At the Academy it is my pleasure to teach the young stars of tomorrow the greatest form of entertainment in the world and I love every second of it.
Xander answered a few spooky questions...
1. Do you believe in the paranormal?
As a man of honour I will be honest, I call myself a 'Disciple of Experience' by that I of course mean I believe in fact and what I can experience for myself. That being said I'm open to the idea of life after death. Although I would prefer to believe that these ghosts have something better to do than bother a busy and important man like myself. Knocking vases off mantle pieces in the next room is all well and good but it won't scare me.
2. Have you ever had a paranormal experience?
No I haven't. As an ambassador of Futureshock Wrestling I am a very busy man. So if I have had an experience I was too busy to notice. Like I previously said, these ghosts will have to do more than open and close squeaky doors to scare me.
3. What’s your biggest fear?
My biggest fear is going to sleep at night not knowing if I've made a difference in someone's life that day. I strive to help those around me in any way that I can. I honestly couldn't sleep well at night unless I know someone was better off for having met me.
4. Snog, marry or avoid: Freddie Kruger, Dracula or Frankenstein’s monster?
Snog = Kruger, he doesn't seem like the type to commit. Marry = Dracula, he's smart and has a great sense of style - plus he know's how to look after his partner. Avoid = Frankenstein, doubt he could host a decent conversation so he's be really boring.
5. Favourite Halloween-related film?
I would have to say 'Boo'. A 2005 classic that serves a beautifully crafted horror film set in an abandoned hospital. A highly underrated film that deserves more attention.
ABOUT THE LOCKDOWN:
A group of brave ghost hunters will gather in the bowels of Old Granada Studios on Saturday 29th October to expose the dastardly goings on of Manchester’s undead whilst simultaneously raising cash for Forever Mancheser. Their only way out is to get friends and family to raise as much cash as they can for Forever Manchester.
Depending on how much money is in each competitor’s JustGiving account – they will either be released and whisked off to Forever Manchester’s Halloween Spooktacular at Old Granada Studios to party the night away, or they will be locked up for even longer until the last man or woman standing is solo – spooky!
