Story

Most of you know me (sorry any newbies you’ll soon learn about me ) and know I will do anything to help you (tender queries, physics questions, service help, tender questionnaires  or standard compliance reports ). But now I need a little bit of help from you all please.

Xstrahl Ltd always completes an annual charity day here in October for the Wear it Pink Charity – this worthy charity supports breast cancer sufferers, research, trials, specialist nursing and hospices. This year we need all of your support, due to the difficult times of global pandemic charities are suffering huge loss of support – here in Brownhills we cannot do our normal food and cash donations day, although we will all still dress in pink, have lots of laugh out loud moments and award a prize for the most outrageous costume!!

Due to Covid interaction restrictions, instead of a cash donate day we are setting up a JustGiving page (Jolie will send you all the link) and I beg you to donate anything you can, every little helps them – any pennies (or cents) or pounds (euro’s, dollars) will support this worth cause.

For me this charity is always close to my heart, my beautiful niece was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014, she was very ill for 6 months and had various aggressive treatments but was always supported by this and other local charities. I’m happy to say she has had her 5 years all clear sign off and has just celebrated her silver wedding anniversary with her hubby.

Cancer is a harsh and careless disease and it is likely that 1 in 2 of us will face it in our lives, for me it has come in many forms 2 years ago my hubby was diagnosed with a side nasal BCC (thanks to all my work here at Xstrahl I spotted it at 2mm size so it is completely removed and he has a scar to show for the fight he won ), I lost my Mom to it in 2015 and this year during the height of lockdown we lost my much loved sister in law. We all need to take up this sword with Xstrahl and help eradicate cancer!!!

I’m sure a lot of you have been touched by this disease too, so please give a little (or a lot we need to beat last year’s record!) if you can to this cause. On the JustGiving page you will be able to add a comment, if you want to please feel free to mention or honour someone who is fighting or has fought the Big C battle.

In advance I thank you and finally ask for one more thing, please join in on the 23rd and Wear Pink – can you out pink Andy Dixon? He has a wonderful pink cheerleaders outfit. Or Stuart who usually wears his wife’s pink PJs, Jolie has a range of pink fluffy dressing gowns – we have seen pink teddy bears, flamingo’s, babies, sumo’s….. Wear it Pink on the day and send photo’s to Jolie so she can make a compendium to send you all!

Thank you all for reading this and for your support – it matters!
