The Motability Scheme helps 650,000 disabled people in the UK by leasing them a suitable and affordable car, powered wheelchair or scooter. Motability, as a charity helps around 8,000 Scheme customers each year who cannot afford the vehicles, adaptations or driving lessons they need.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I have volunteered to be part of a team of similar minded idiots who will be swimming the English Channel to France.

Covering the course, each swimmer will do at least 2 legs, with each leg taking about 1 hour and covering 1.5 miles or so. By the crow it's 22 miles but because of tides etc we will probably end up swimming 30 miles or more - Ho Hum.

I have decided to split all the money that I raise on a 50/50 basis between Motability (who provide life chances to disabled people) and the Harrow Tsunami Relief Fund.

Please dig deep and donate through this site as it is a simple, fast and totally secure way of supporting my event. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor the beneficiary charities and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no extra cost to you. (For administration purposes all donations will initially go to Motability and will be split at the end of the event) Thanks in advance Jeff (See www.xswim.co.uk for further information)
