London to Paris Bike Ride · 20 July 2016

We support younger people living with young onset dementia and their families in Berkshire, Surrey Heath, NE Hants and Farnham. We provide one to one support and activity based workshops across the working week for people with a young onset dementia diagnosis, providing respite for their carers.

Story

As many of you will know, we do like to push ourselves and fundraise for YPWD (Berkshire), a charity that thinks differently about dementia, a charity close to our hearts.  This year we are embarking on a cycle ride, a mere 299 miles over 4 days from London to Paris.  Needless to say we are not experienced cyclists and are currently coming to terms with the saddle, balance, learning to hold handle bars with one hand and putting in the miles.  But we keep in mind our end goal, helping those with young onset dementia.  If by going through this challenge we can make a difference, everything will be worthwhile.

So, who is on this team?  Well actually there are nine of us, but this page has been set up specifically in support of:

Vicki Matthews
Fran Booth
Jacqui Hussey
Caroline Blanchette

Do please support us in our cause by making a donation (not forgetting to enable gift aid which ensures another 25p for every £1 donated).  Every penny counts.  Thank you so much for your support.
