It affects 1 in 80 pregnancies in the UK and women who suffer have to face the physical trauma of major invasive treatment, their own mortality, the impact on their future fertility and the sad loss of losing their baby all very quickly. This can be a very frightening and distressing experience.

The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust believes that the deaths and trauma associated with ectopic pregnancy should be prevented or minimised and seeks to support women and their families through this difficult period of their lives. The Charity also provides Information, Education and Support to medical professionals who treat early pregnancy complications.

When I had my ectopic pregnancies there was no support or help in the situation. Hardly anyone knew what it was, how it happens, the treatments and the effects on all involved. When in hospital recieving  treatment I saw only one poster on ectopic pregnancies. No leaflets or ways to provide any support, physically or mentally and was left to deal with things on our own. 

Before I had mine I was totally unaware of ectopics and believed it would never happen to me. Because of this I almost lost my life. I remember feeling like I was dying due to no information ever being provided. 

I want to raise awareness and show that ectopics can happen to anyone for no reason at all. I want to provide people with information and the support that they deserve. 

Any amount of money would be great, even a pound would help me raise enough to complete my skydive! And in turn help to raise awareness! 

I’m hoping to raise more funds through other means so any ideas would be a massive help.
