Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Seriously everyone, this is the first time I have ever personally raised money for charity! And that is a bad thing for a 42 year old to admit.  

So I need your help.  I decided I needed to get fit, my babies are no longer babies, so no more excuses right??  So I challenged myself by entering a triathlon.  As you do......... And I really am very unfit.....my start point the couch to 5K running app ....oh yes I really mean it.  Those one minute running intervals on day one were quite enough for me!

So I will keep you amused with my crazy training I hope.! 

But to the serious bit, when I entered I saw that there were a number of charities involved in the triathlon and I could pick one to raise money for  - and out jumped MS-UK.  It was an obvious choice for me having lost my lovely cousin Robin to this disease just five years ago.  

Many people live with this disease for many years, but sadly he had an aggressive form of MS which never really went into remission.

Rob was a great character - you would have liked him.  Always a bit of a Jack the lad, up for a laugh and probably a stella or two.  He was full of mischief and he really did die far too young.

And so, as I run, cycle and swim and I winge that my legs are aching, or when I sit on the sofa being lazy and not wanting to get out and train.  In those moments I am going to think of Rob, and everyone else suffering the debilitating physical symptoms of MS and I am going to get my lazy little legs moving ......because I can.....and many others can't.  So please donate, or at the very least please get active if you can, get your butt moving, be healthy, love your life!!!!!
