Stand Up 4 Epilepsy and 'Go That Extra Mile'

Have you always wanted to support a charity, whilst trying to get healthier but never really had the time or the inclination to do so?  Well now is the time to do just that and it couldn't be easier.

All we want you to do is to cover a mile in some format.  Whether it be walking, running, cycling, swimming, rowing, skating - you name it and give FABLE £1.00.

That's right, just £1 for one mile.  It's as simple as getting off the bus one stop earlier for a few days, or you can be as strenuous as you want and kick start your new healthy lifestyle by joining a gym or challenging yourself in someway.  For the more adventurous don't stop at one mile - you can cover as many as you want and you can always get your friends and family involved, or even obtain sponsorship - the choice is yours!

Along with our friends at Woodlands Fitness Centre, we are aiming to raise £456000.00 which is the same number of epilepsy sufferers in the UK today!  Our campaign is being launch during National Epilepsy Week Sunday 17th to Saturday the 23rd of May 2009.

Did you know there are 456,000.00 or 1 in every 131 people in the UK has epilepsy, but it doesn't only affect the sufferer, it affects the whole family unit.

Your support will enable FABLE Charity to continue their valuable work supporting people affected by Epilepsy by awarding grants for equipment, raising public awareness through education, promoting Vagus Nerve Stimulation Therapy, providing information leaflets, offering support and advice through the National Patient Support Network.
