Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit the Graham Brecons Beasty Trek JustGiving page.
Graham colleagues from the Southern Region are embarking on the Brecons Beasty Trek to raise much needed financial support for Macmillan on Thursday 17th September, 2015.
Pen Y Fan is by far the most popular mountain to climb in the Brecon Beacons and is the highest peak in South Wales. The climb is 11 miles, 3000 feet up and down in one day. The walk is rated as difficult and has an estimated completion time of 5-6 hours. Although it will probably take us a little longer to complete we hope to be back at base before darkness falls............................
The SAS use Pen Y Fan for training purposes and this just illustrates how difficult and demanding it is.
Within our participating group there are many personal experiences of people known to us who are or who have suffered from cancer. We are aware of the fantastic work that Macmillan do for cancer sufferers and their families and we want to raise as much money for them as possible.
Your help and support with this appeal would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you from the Team.
