I am running this half marathon with my mum in October and I have chosen to do it for the Hearing Voices Network. This charity is a very important one for a number of reasons. So many people have difficulties making sense of their mental health; especially with regards to hearing voices and having frightening thoughts or experiences.

Having worked for a number of years now with people who hear voices and have unusual experiences, I know just how much of an impact the research is starting to have on the way statutory services are working with people and how invaluable these groups  are to service users as a safe place to share their experiences.

Please give as little or as much as you can to help continue the amazing work they are doing.
