Shaw Trust performs vital work to ensure that disabled people can live independent lives. The charity  breaks down the barrier of disability which in turn empowers disadvantaged individuals to seek employment and fully integrate themselves within society. I witnessed this important work first hand when I volunteered in a shaw trust charity shop which represents one of the many opportunities, provided by the trust, for disabled people to train and develop certain key skills required in the working world. Disability represents one of life’s great injustices and it will continue to be so for the near future. Therefore as a society we have a certain duty and obligation to help disabled people overcome this injustice which is why I am running the London marathon for Shaw Trust.
