We support brain injury survivors to improve life after brain injury

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 29th June 2013 my son fell from a skateboard on his way to work and sustained a brain injury. Two years later I now support individuals affected by brain injury by coordinating an Activities Group for Headway Salisbury and South Wiltshire.

On 29th June 2015 I will be having my head shaved in aid of Headway Salisbury and South Wiltshire who offer support to individuals who have an acquired or traumatic brain injury, and their families.

Headway ensures that brain injury survivors get the help and support they need to reach their maximum potential in spite of their brain injury. They promote understanding and awareness of all aspects of brain injury; and provide information, support and services to meet individuals’ needs and those of their family and friends.

Thank you for supporting me. My hair is very much part of my identity and I imagine that having it shaved will leave me stripped of identity and feeling vulnerable. This is how so many individuals tell us they feel following a brain injury.
