We seek to end hunger in SW Glasgow to restore dignity and hope.

Story

It is no secret to say that Covid-19 has made 2020 one of the toughest years! But it has hit our foodbanks especially hard, with the UK seeing an 87% increase in foodbank usage this summer. 112% more children are now needing accessing this service than last year.

With this information we as a team are hoping to raise money for the Glasgow South West Foodbank, that sees nearly 9000 people every year. The increase in demand for their help of food parcels and toiletries has nearly doubled but they don't have enough resources to keep up. We will be challenging ourselves everyday from now until Christmas Eve to raise money by doing sponsored activities and we  really hope that we can smash our target of £500 with everyones help.

Please help us - the people of Glasgow, our community, really need the services that the SW Foodbank provide.

WE SMASHED THE £500 TARGET IN FOUR (YES, FOUR!!!) DAYS, LET'S SEE IF WE CAN REACH £1000 BY CHRISTMAS EVE! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR DONATIONS!

About the charity

We are part of the Trussell Trust network but are an independent charity. We seek to provide food and basic toiletries to those in need who are referred to us by front line care professionals. We have one employee and lots of volunteers. We rely on donations of food, time and finance.
