Fundraising for Raising and Giving on behalf of Hull University Students' Union

February is LGBTIQ+ History Month so the ten members of Hull MedSoc's EDI Committee will be collectively running a distance of 260 miles over the course of the month to raise money for The Outside Project.
The Outside Project is a homeless/crisis shelter & Community Centre in response to those within the LGBTIQ+ community who feel endangered, who are homeless, ‘hidden’ homeless & feel that they are on the outside of services due to historical & present prejudice in society & in their homes.
They aim to:
- Create space to empower & bring together the whole community
- Provide a free, safe, inclusive & caring space for all LGBTIQ+ guests
- Practically, professionally & emotionally support their guests
- Develop positive relationships with services & strengthen support to the LGBTIQ+ community
- Share their knowledge to educate others on the unique & complex needs of the LGBTIQ+ community
- Advocate for LGBTIQ+ rights & needs within services
- Promote a clean, safe & sober lifestyle within the LGBTIQ+ community
All donations will go directly to The Outside Project so that they can continue the lifesaving work that they perform.
