Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon 2015 · 11 October 2015 ·

We aim to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help, caring for them until their owners or loving new homes can be found, no matter how long it takes. We are champions for, and supporters of, vulnerable dogs and cats, determined to create lasting changes for animals in our society.

Story

I am running my first half marathon on Sunday 11 October. I have chosen to run for all the cute doggies and kitty kats at Battersea Dogs and Cats home. I felt this was a good choice as I can't help but turn my head when I see any dog in the street. I am also a professional cat sitter.

I'd love to give all cats and dogs at Battersea a good, loving home... It's horrible to think that any animal doesn't have a human to love, cuddle and kiss them! I can't give them all a home, but I thought I would help out by raising some money to look after the cats and dogs there.

(Next year I promise to run for the bunnies - sorry Apple and Blackberry.)

In case you don't know what the charities does - they help to re-home thousands of cats and dogs every year. You can find out more by visiting the website here: http://www.battersea.org.uk/apex/WEBIndex

Myself, the dogs and the cats are all very greatful for your donations. Lots of love and paws. X
