The situation of refugees and asylum-seekers arriving in Europe has exposed the failure and reluctance of European governments to protect their rights and provide them with the necessary support. As a local charity, Southampton and Winchester Visitors Group (SWVG) ( http://swvg-refugees.org.uk/ ) has done an amazing job in helping out and befriending asylum-seekers/refugees in Southampton and Winchester.

To support SWVG's invaluable work, Rob, Martina and myself will be doing the Southampton Half Marathon on 22 April 2018. We have been training regularly for this, and we really wish to make a difference to the lives of refugees/asylum-seekers. Please donate and help us support this vulnerable group by supporting SWVG: every little helps.
