We deliver vital mental health services to children in schools across the UK
Story
Racers: James Sainty, Freddie Haines & Lucy Billings
With temperatures potentially hitting -30 degrees and half the event racing in darkness, we're clearly insane. But also stubborn, and to help get us over the (significantly below freezing) finish line, we're hoping to raise huge amounts of money for Place2Be.
Place2Be is the UK's leading children's mental health charity, supporting children with complex social issues including bullying, bereavement, domestic violence, family breakdown, neglect and trauma. 75% of all mental health develops by age 18, and with their work they're making incredible progress towards preventing suicide in young adults.
Now that we're feeling confident about the challenge we're taking on, we're reaching out to all our wonderful family and friends to ask for your support. Thank you for any donations; they'll really help us circa 13 hours at minus god knows what temperature in the pitch black (unless the northern lights care to light our journey).
Place2Be is a children's mental health charity that works to improve the emotional wellbeing of children and young people. We help them to cope with wide-ranging and often complex social issues including bullying, bereavement, domestic violence, family breakdown, neglect and trauma.
