Firstly, thanks for visiting my page - I appreciate that you probably get loads of requests for donations for a number of very worthwhile causes. I also appreciate that a half marathon probably doesn't stack up against some of the truly heroic things people put themselves through in the name of fundraising but at my age, I know it's going to hurt! 

Our run (the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 13th October) will be over in a couple of hours (hopefully) but the impact your donation makes will be felt much longer.  SLOW is an amazing charity that helps bereaved families cope with the most tragic thing that can happen to them – losing a child. 

Sadly, I know this only too well, as someone who has experienced this.  It's been 9 years since we lost our beautiful daughter, Esme, who was nearly 2 years old, but not a day goes by when we don’t miss her and our lives changed forever when she died. 

SLOW has always been there for all my family during some really tough times and is a lifeline for countless other families in London after the death of their child.   SLOW is a small, award-winning charity, run by bereaved parents in London and anything that you can chip in will be massively appreciated.
