Story
Stonebridge city farm is a community charity based in St Anns and is a very important part of Nottingham. The farm supports people, many of whom have a learning disability or a mental health difficulty. The farm also supports many different education programmes with a number of local schools and colleges.
The farm provides a meaningful purpose for people that helps independence, self esteem, mental health and employment prospects, as well as providing invaluable respite to carers and families. It is also a popular visitor centre for local families that enjoy the gardens, wonderful animals and play area.
The farm's grant funding has been reduced significantly over the past few years and needed additional funding, especially over the remaining winter months.
I am very grateful to my colleagues within the Dvn of Primary Care at the University of Nottingham and to my husband's colleagues at Impact Physiotherapy who supported a cake sale for the farm. The farm really is such an important charity that we are extremely happy to support
