Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have run for many years and competed in all manner of events - but not a marathon. After being inspired by my wife Kirstie who ran her first marathon last year I decided it was finally time to run one.

I am running for the Fell Rescue because for decades the volunteers have rescued hundreds of people in the Yorkshire Dales - runners, walkers, cyclists, cavers and even dogs! The Fell Rescue is my school's local charity and has supported many of our students past and present with it's Outdoor Club. It currently needs funds to upgrade their emergency radios to digital ones.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

For over 70 years UWFRA has been rescuing people and animals from the caves, mineshafts, fells and crags of Wharfedale, Nidderdale, Littondale and Mid-Airedale. Our rescue services remain free to all who need us, day or night and are financed entirely by fundraising events and donations.
