I am lucky enough to have been selected to be a Project Manager on a Raleigh International expedition to Borneo leaving mid September. I need to raise  £1950 to help fund the expedition and Raleigh's ongoing work with young volunteers, the local communities of Borneo and the conservation of the natural environment.

This money is a direct donation to Raleigh and does not pay for my flights, any of my kit, vaccinations etc. These things I will be funding myself in order to be able to go.

As I understand it so far the main focus of this trip is to help provide clean, safe water and effective sanitation facilities for remote communities in the rainforests of the Sabah region in Malaysian Borneo and I will be tasked with the care of groups of young volunteers (aged 17-24) and the management of their work on projects such as laying pipelines, designing and building gravity fed water systems in the jungle and helping to educate the local communities on the benefits and effects of safe water practices to them and the environment.

I have been accepted very late on in the process and am therefore hugely behind on my fundraising targets which are mostly due mid-way through August. I would like to ask you to give as generously as you can afford to, to support this amazing project, myself, the other volunteers and Raleigh International as a whole.
