Each July the UK Police Unity Tour cycle to honour the service and sacrifice of Fallen UK Police Officers. The primary purpose of the UK Police Unity Tour is to raise funds for COPS (Care of Police Survivors) and to raise
awareness of the charity.
COPS is a UK registered charity dedicated to helping the families of police officers who have lost their lives whilst on duty. They aim to ensure that survivors have all the help they need to cope with such a tragedy, and
that they remain part of the police family as they rebuild their lives.
I first became involved with this charity in 2014 and have seen what a fantastic job they do supporting the families of officers, it's a charity that you hope your family will never have to call upon, the sad reality is they are needed, but do provide such amazing support.
Between the 24th & 26th July, I shall be taking part in the UK Police Unity Tour, which involves a 180 mile cycle ride finishing at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire where the Care of Police Survivors memorial service will be taking place on the Sunday. Each rider wears a wristband in memory of a fallen officer, I have chosen to ride in memory of Pc Paul Pursehouse of the Gloucestershire Constabulary who sadly died on duty in a collision near Lydney in 1967.
I would be extremely grateful for any donations you can afford which will be given to the COPS charity at the memorial service, so they can continue
to provide support.
Thank you for your time in reading my page and any donations you can pledge.
