Story

It may be hard to imagine not being able to hold your head upright, not being able to sit on your own, or stand independently…
Reality has a way of catching up with imagination and seven years ago, on a day just like any other, Jon became ill with Guillain Barre Syndrome, which resulted in paralysis from the neck down.

Dear all

After a long career at LyondellBasell and predecessor companies, Jon will retire on April 29 and to mark the occasion we wanted to raise awareness of not only the kind of person Jon is, but also the charity that has supported him with his recovery: The Movement Centre.

This organization has not only helped Jon to recover from a debilitating disease, but Jon is now a trustee and active fundraiser for the Movement Centre. As a leaving present we would like to ask you to help him, help The Movement Centre, help others.

You are free to choose if and what you would like to donate, but if you do all contributions will go directly to The Movement Centre. To make it easier for you to donate and to guarantee transparency, please use the link below:

On April 22, we will surprise Jon by telling him the total amount that has been raised to this date. Therefore, if you could keep it quiet until then, it would be really appreciated.

On behalf of Team North and The Movement Centre, thank you for joining Jon to make a difference!

Most of us take for granted the ability to control our head, sit, crawl, stand or walk. We help children with cerebral palsy, global developmental delay & other problems of movement control to achieve these skills through a unique therapy, Targeted Training, which can completely change their lives.
