Juanita's 2015 Race for Life

Cambridge 5k 2015 11:00 · 19 July 2015 ·
Had another fabulous day with gorgeous sun and cool(ish) temperatures, which means ... smashed my pre-pregnancy/post-illness/injury time of 25.03, getting under the magic 25 minute mark with 24.50. Guess I'll have to do even better next year!!
I ran this in memory of my friend and colleague, (Prof) Richard Perham, who sadly passed away on 14th February 2015.
As before, I also ran this in memory of James Chaston, my cousin, who sadly passed away in February 2006.
And for Helen Dunbar-Jones, my friend, who sadly passed away in February 2010.
James' death was not cancer-related, but, I'd like to keep running this for him; as a change to our usual 10K, somehow my friend has talked me into running the 5K Spartan Race, running 5K complete with some ridiculous obstacles: "jumping" over 4-8 feet walls, barbed wire crawl, lots and lots and lots of mud, oh, and jumping through fire. Details are here: https://www.justgiving.com/Juanita-Goossens-Roach/
I am hoping to raise £250 this year, and I am asking people for £5 for the entire 5K race - that's £1 a kilometre, very economical. You can give as much or as little as you like (or think I deserve!)

Gift Aid it!
If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when donating so that an extra 25%, plus a 3% supplement, can be added to your gift at no cost to you; this allows Cancer Research UK to claim at least an extra 25% on your donation from the Government.
Let's blow the target out of the water!!
