I think I've reached the age when I really don't need prezzies, so it's far more worthwhile to give to a really good cause. And Cornwall Hospice Care certainly is. When I was Head at Roselyon we used to take the Prep School Choir (which consisted of about 30 pupils aged 8-11 of varying musical ability!) to Mount Edgcumbe Hospice at Christmas and sing carols to patients and staff. It really was a most uplifting experience, not just for me, but also for the children who appreciated in a childlike way that they had made a difference to people's  Christmas.
