Story
I am proud to be part of the team at Painshill. We have a small team of staff (most of whom have been furloughed) and an incredible volunteer team who work so hard to maintain and restore the landscape and follies and make sure that people enjoy their visit. We also have an education programme for schools which is very popular.
It's an amazing place to take a break from everyday life and to recharge your batteries. We all know how important outdoor space is, now more than ever. It is also a very important part of our heritage.
We must make sure that Painshill is able to survive the coming weeks so that we are able to welcome visitors when the time is right.
Those who have visited will know how special it is. A beautiful landscape which is very tranquil. If you visit, you will make special memories.
Painshill was lost before. We cannot risk losing it again. If you are able to make a contribution, it would mean a great deal to me and to the charity. Or take part in your own challenge to help Painshill.
Those who know me well will know that I love cycling but for various reasons I haven't ridden much. I plan to ride the equivalent of 3 x 26 miles on my static bike at home. This will be the furthest I have ridden in one week in nearly two years. So this will be a challenge, and every pound you donate will spur me on!
Thank you
