My step dad is called Laurie and he is a fantastic man. You couldn't find a kinder, smarter, more gentle man and like many other cancer patients, his diagnosis came as a shock. Laurie is a very fit and healthy man who regularly does walks for charity. He has just had to postpone his next walk, ironically for Cancer research until he has recovered.

My step dad is about to have an operation to remove a cancerous tumour from his jaw. Then he will undergo facial reconstruction, then he needs radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Following this he will not be able to eat solid foods and will be getting fed through a tube into his stomach. In support of this my mother and I are going to start liquid diets for the duration of his recovery.

While we do this we are asking people to support my step dad, me and my mum, by supporting Cancer research! Please donate anything you can for this worthwhile cause.
