Well, here we go again for our next big challenge. Me and our Gemma are taking on the Greater Manchester Marathon in the hope to raise a few pennies for the Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter. 

I think people sometimes take for granted the amount of time, hard work and sheer determination that goes in to running a marathon, not to mention the months of forward planning ahead. It is by no means a given.

The Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter is a fantastic local charity, who look after unwanted, abandoned and neglected animals and nurse them back to full health whilst they await a new Home. This charity is open 365 days a year and would never turn an animal away.

If you cannot afford to donate cash, please keep this charity in mind when you are sorting through old newspapers, blankets, bed linen etc or if you have any unwanted dry dog food. This charity is always open to donations and every little helps.
