Story
In July, a team from a Liverpool-based specialist
recruitment consultancy will be undertaking a cycling challenge in aid of a
local hospice.
With just under three months to go until the event, Caroline
Kingsley and Tristan Folkard from Kingsley are undergoing the training required
to bike roughly 250 miles (400km) from London to Paris. The recruitment duo
will be carrying out the feat to raise funds for Zoё's Place Trust, which
provides respite, palliative, and end-of-life care for babies and infants that
range in age from birth to five years old. These children are suffering from
various life-threatening and life-limiting conditions.
The Kingsley cyclists are aiming to raise at least £3,000 to
assist the charity with its vital efforts, and so are asking for sponsors and
other well-wishers to come forward. The recruitment company, which has its
headquarters in Liverpool, has also opened a Just Giving page to help it reach
its donation goals.
Speaking about the challenge, Caroline Kingsley, who is also
one of the consultancy’s directors, said:
“While it will be tough, this bike ride is all in aid of a
great cause. The money that we’re raising for Zoё's Place will be going to help
kids and babies that really need it, as well as providing some much-needed
respite for their parents and carers.”
Folkard, the firm’s associate director, added:
“I’m looking forward to the good that we can do with this
ride, though it’s definitely hard going at the gym at the moment!”
The duo from Kingsley will start riding from London to Paris
on 19th July, 2017, with an aim to complete the challenge within
three days.
