My name is Jaci.  I'm a 40 year old female from the Wirral.  I've been involved with Help for Heroes for a while now, both unofficially and now officially. 

I decided that I wanted to do something that would not only push my own boundaries, but make money for 2 of my favourite charities.  Our Armed Forces are close to my heart and that is my reason for choosing Help for Heroes and Holidays4Heroes.

My intention is to walk from the Marine Lake at New Brighton to the Marine Lake at West Kirby on the Wirral.  It is a distance of 9.48 miles.  Not very far you may think, but I will be doing it on my crutches!!  It will take around 6-7 hours in total including regular breaks so that I do as little damage to my already damaged knee as possible. 

I will have a separate form for Holidays4Heroes and will be taking a Bear called WO2 Hamilcar with me.  He is one of the Bears used by Holidays4Heroes as a fund raiser.  I will have tins with me for anyone to donate on my way round the Wirral coast.
