We are sixth year camogie players from Laurel Hill secondary school in Limerick. In our last year of school we were looking forward to getting out on the pitch for our final year of school camogie. It’s a place where we became the best of friends and where we all have fond memories together. Unfortunately because of COVID-19 we haven’t been given the chance to play camogie one last time together. But we need to look at the bigger picture and see what’s important. We are lucky enough to have a roof over our heads every night but unfortunately many people around Ireland aren’t in this fortunate position. So for the month of February we are taking part in a Virtual Walk known as Camino De Quarantine in aid of Focus Ireland. We aim to walk as many virtual caminos as possible during the month. We figured since we couldn’t be together on the pitch we’d be together virtually and take this challenge on together within our 5k radius. Please support our walk by donating on our fundraising page or sharing this page on your social media. There are over 9,000 children, families and individuals tackling homelessness in Ireland right now. Please help us fight this crisis by supporting Focus Ireland.
