Brain Injury, however severe is a life-changing event with huge consequences for the person involved as well as their family and friends. Time in hospital is just the first stage in a really long recovery but support can be hard to find once your back at home. 

My family have been through this and it's been a very tough journey and the impact it has is sudden and devastating. So me and my mum are doing this for my lovely Nan and Uncle (my mum's mum and Brother) who have both been involved in with an unexpected brain injury and unfortunately lost my nan due to a stroke coming up for 2 years this year. Where my Uncle has been through a long recovery and is doing very well, so this charity is very close to our hearts. We want to raise awareness and help other people who go through this so the get the support we need because we know how hard it is to get support once your out of hospital. We also hope to make a difference by raising this money to help.

The charity we are jumping for is "Headway Salisbury and South Wiltshire". They are a small registered charity that support local adults and their families who have sustained an acquired brain injury (ABI). A.B.I includes brain injuries following strokes, trauma, infections, tumours and many other causes. Headway ensures that brain injury survivors get the help and support they need to reach their maximum potiential in spite of their brain injury.
