I will be taking part in my first half-marathon - and a big reason for that, is my wonderful wife Erin. Because of her, I have taken the good intentions I've had for umpteen years, and finally turned them into reality. Nothing better that goals, to nurture these now realized beneficial life practices - and as such, an application to the Great Scottish Run was born!

The goal to raise money for Cancer Research UK, is in my own small way a testament to my wife, and my extended family, who lost a father and husband to cancer in 2011. If by raising money, I can help avoid this loss for even one person, it will be worthwhile.
