We offer support to women fleeing domestic abuse

Story

A Kimono-A-Day Challenge is an unusual and quirky way that I can help to raise funds for this worthwhile cause. Their support to women and their children is invaluable and without it, many would continue to suffer a life of domestic violence.

Despite my own health issues (Endometriosis, a chronic, incurable and painful condition), I will be wearing a different authentic ensemble every day during the month of August. A long time ago someone said to me 'Japanese kimono are like women  - beautiful, with many layers and shouldn't be hidden away'. Domestic violence is still a subject which isn't talked about enough, somewhat hidden away too, so I hope this goes towards changing that.

It will be a tough physical feat for me to manage, but I am determined to raise as much money as I can to help. I hope you will follow me on my journey and support the women and children who this will benefit.

I will be sharing my daily ensembles on my website (which will be updated as soon as possible) at www.ma-kimono.co.uk, and via my Facebook page (for those who are friends).

Thank you so very much for visiting my fundraising page.
