Story
On 23rd June I will be trekking 40 miles through the breath-taking landscape of the Lake District in 24 hours. I'll be completing two 20 mile loops against the clock in order to raise money for Mind.
From Grasmere, one stretch of Mind Hike leads through Langdale valley before climbing between the mountains to circle the fells around High Raise and take the Coast to Coast path back to the village. The second loop follows an extended version of the famous Fairfield horseshoe, one of the Lake District's most challenging routes.
On top of the trekking, I will climb 800 metres to the summits of Great Rigg, Fairfield, Hart Crag and Dove Crag. This experience will be a test both my physical and mental endurance but I hope it will be an experience I will never forget, and that will contribute to the hard work Mind does to support people in England and Wales who suffer from mental health problems.
Help sponsor me for this challenge and you could help thousands of people in turn. Thank you!
