Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I started running around 14 years ago, when I moved to the beautiful Lake District, and I needed get out and see the countryside that I am privileged to live in.
After a while, I decided to raise some money for the local hospice by running the annual village race aptly named the Coniston "14".
Working as the Sub Postmaster in the village for 11 years allowed me to get to know many local people and their families. Sadly, many have lost loved ones to terminal illness , but without exception, those that have experienced the love and care that radiates around St Mary's Hospice in Ulverston, consistently marvel at the amazing work that this Charity does.
It is my dual aim to run the forthcoming London marathon on April 24th 2016, whilst raising money for these lovely people.
I now need you help me to raise this money, which in turn will help my personal motivation and spirit to hopefully enable me to achieve my first ever Marathon success.
Thank you in anticipation
Phil
