Story
I 've got a "good for age" place in London and yes I also have a "big birthday" four weeks before! After having done my first ever marathon , Edinburgh, in 2015 and then 3 marathons in both 2016 and 2017, ( last one Chester ,running in the England Masters Team, and setting a big PB,) and having a chat with the superb coach that helps me, I was not sure whether to have a little "marathon sabbatical" until the Autumn of this year. However following a recent conversation I had with the awesome Marilyn Lawrie, during which she happened to mention that both she and her husband Andrew were passionate about the Kent MS Therapy Centre , and went on to mention all the amazing support that it seeks to provide for those having to bear the burden of this disease , it got me thinking of how places in London are so difficult to get and so I started thinking of maybe using this "good for age" place and running London and making the pain of those last few miles count (yes I can cruise along rather nicely until that last bit!) by doing a bit of fundraising .
So if anyone would like to donate a few pounds the thought that I am raising some funds for the MS Therapy Centre will make any discomfort in those last few miles more bearable. I intend to really enjoy the whole experience of London . I will probably start my training in the last week of January and get a few of those long runs in- I happen to have a super coach that made it all so simple for me to prepare for Chester so I shall seek some guidance from him .
LOVE LIFE ,LOVE RUNNING.
