Story

In memory of Mark Hanson who for so long bravely battled depression.

In his 36 years Mark achieved so much. He was recognised as a true pioneer in online public relations who's thinking and ideas contributed significantly to the development of the profession. His unstinting work for the Labour Party modernised how it communicated with both its members and the public.

Please make a contribution, large or small, to help the work of MIND, the UK's leading charity for better mental health. Alternatively you can make a donation to the Mayhew Animal Home.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues.

I didn't know Mark, but Alex's article explained very clearly why the work Mind does is so badly needed.

Alex Hilton's brave and honest writing about his friend and himself should be shared with everyone as it so clearly expresses the sadness and despair and loneliness of depression.

It's really nice to see there are some inspiring, admirable people working for noble causes. Things like this help to remind me that the world isn't always so bad after all.
