Story
We are extremely proud that 2014 marks 20 Years of McDermotts and delighted that twenty members our team have decided to undertake an exciting challenge to mark the occasion, in aid of Cancer Research UK.
On Friday, 26 September 2014 we will be in Scotland to scale the 1344 meters of Ben Nevis (that is 4409 feet!), swiftly followed by Scafell Pike on Saturday and Snowden on Sunday!
Our challengers have come forward from across our organisation. Directors will join Engineers, Managers, Site teams and Head Office staff, who support our operations across the country, on this somewhat daunting endeavour.
Of course, it will all be worth it. Our goal is to raise £10,000 in aid of the ground breaking work of Cancer Research UK. By researching 200 types of cancer every day, Cancer Research UK have helped double survival rates over the past 40 years and we want to help them beat cancer sooner.
This is where you come in. McDermotts has valued your support in the past and I very much hope that you will take this opportunity to support us once again! Any donation will be very gratefully received.
The training regimes have already started and we will keep you up to date with our progress. You can also check our blog at mcdermotts.co.uk .
Next stop, Ben Nevis!
Thank you for your support!
