The girls and I are doing a half marathon walk (approx 13 miles),on May 22nd, in memory of my mum. 

May 23rd: We  completed the 13.5 miles in 3 hours 45 minutes:  Ashleigh barefoot, Virginia limping like Lassie and Madeleine powering through as only 15 year olds can.  Thanks again for all your support xxx

 My mums story : Towards the last few months Mum took the decison to go in to a hospice, I remember, being very cross, as I thought this meant she was 'giving up'  - In reality the hospice pampered mum, provided massage and beauty treatments and treated her like the woman she was.  The hospice couldnt stop the inevitable, obviously, and she died some six weeks later, but the hospice gave her some space to be herself and dare I say a bit of glamour.     So 25 years has passed  - Ashleigh and  Madeleine were born after she died, yet as they grow up  I see so much of mum in the girls;  their kidness, confidence and particularly their capacity for silliness and laughter.    We three  are doing this walk together to  remember a very lovely lady - in the process we would also like to raise some funds for the Peace Hospice and appreciate anything you can give
