Story
As you all may know Judy had Cancer and was given 3 months after her diagnosis. Nearly five years later she died at the Thames Hospice. It had been her wish to move to the hospice.
Judy had received a considerable amount of care and support from Thames Hospice in her last 12 days. The kind, caring and understanding nature of all the staff was incredibly comforting at such a difficult time. The nurses are so compassionate when going about their daily duties. The doctors were also considerate and took time to explain any changes in treatment and everyone was focussed on her comfort and ensuring she was free from pain. It never felt like a place where people simply go to die, which is what we expected, but a place to make those final irreplaceable memories. This fundraising is to continue to show our thanks and gratitude for what they did for Judy.
