Story

On the 8th September 2013 I lost my first born child. Rosie tragically died in her sleep at the tender age of 19.

Rosie was loud, vivavious and I know many would agree, stunning. She had the ability to liven up any room and was deeply loved by her family and her many friends.

Rosie and I were like best friends. I brought her up from a young age as a single mum which tightened our bond until I met my now husband who also loved Rosie fiercely. Whilst she was at her first year of university in Nottingham this year I would not go a single day without touching base with her. I miss her every second of everyday, but I have now got the determination and motivation to complete a dream of mine; run the London Marathon. This event was something Rosie also wanted to accomplish with me so when I run I think of her. I know she will be on this long and difficult journey with me.

I would be so grateful for any donation as it is a cause so close to my heart and will be invaluable to research into epilespy related deaths in young people.

Young Epilepsy is dedicated to standing up for children and young people with epilepsy. We’re here for them. But we need your support because epilepsy is limiting the chances of thousands of children today and may continue to do so for the rest of their lives. Together we create possible.
