We raise funds to provide vital therapy for people with MS

Story

Hello everyone! Yes we must be crazy but we have decided to take on a skydive to celebrate this years World MS day on Sunday 30th May!

This day marks 4 years since I (Kim) was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I am a keen advocate for raising awareness and much needed funds for charities big and small to support them to continue to help people with MS. I am so excited to have my Mum on board who is just the most incredible human being and helps me so much with my daily struggles which a lot of people don’t see.

The MS therapy centre is based in Bedford and open to people from surrounding areas including Northampton. It offers Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (which I plan to start soon). It has MS nurses available to support you, a gym for physiotherapist, a hydrotherapy pool and offers accessible classes and therapies to its members. It really is incredible and helps SO many people who would be completely lost without it.

The centre receives no government funding so is totally reliant on fundraising which is why we have decided to really push our selves out of our comfort zones ( by pushing ourselves out of a plane!) so we really do appreciate any donations at all as this is going to be super nerve wracking!! The centre has suffered over the last year due to covid restrictions putting a stop to most events, so any support is hugely appreciated.

Thank you all in advance for supporting my journey and raising MS awareness and funds.

All our love, Kim & Shirley xxxx

About the charity

The MS Therapy Centre provides therapy, information and support to people living with MS. Many professional therapies are offered - physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, pain management, together with complementary therapies. We do not receive statutory funding, so donations are vital.
