I've reached eleven miles and am tapering down now for the big day. Feeling nervous and excited but I am going to miss my running buddy on the day.
ten miles done now. legs are okay but my poor toes are a whole other story!
Before the summer I hit a plateau at eight miles. I've now broken new mileage and ran NINE miles today :)
Only three weeks to get my distance up to a minimum of ten. I am aiming for eight this week with a short 4 on weds.
I'm back up to seven miles. it was hard out there today and towards the end my brain was doing strange things.
--as hard as possible for the entire month of September. Wish me luck!
--I am back. This week I've run four and five miles and want to do a six on Friday. Then I've got to push myself--
After a summer of not being able to run much (though we have walked/cycled/climbed/usual mothering activities--
I've blogged! http://www.mummylion.co.uk/2014/07/13/the-big-run/
I'm up to 8 miles now, and covered 16 this week in total! 23 % of my target raised already.. can you spare £1?
on a baking hot sunny day I got 7.72 miles under my belt today, the furthest yet.
Well, in only a couple of months I've gone from one or two miles to 6.30 miles. I'm finding it more difficult now because a) its hot and b) my off road routes are getting very overgrown and some of them are hard to walk along, never mind run. So, do I hit the tarmac and try to increase my speed, or struggle on through the long grass and crops? Do I even need a different pair of shoes for road running? (I hope not!).
Elizabeth Finn Care are a fantastic organisation and I just want to say thanks. They give help to ordinary people who are experiencing misfortune and vastly improve lives.
