Story
Hello & thanks for visiting my sponsorship page...
Today was the big day and I'm glad to say that I made it around the 10K course without mishap.
The competition to guess my time around the course was very close so I will have to wait for the official timing to be confirmed.
It seems to be between my Dad and Anne Joy, guessing 62 & 63 minutes respectively.
I timed myself at 63, but we'll have to wait...
The bottle of champagne is on ice awaiting the winner !!
My target for the race was 60 mins, but that was scuppered when I felt a strong urge to go the loo at 6K !!! Not bad for an old bloke though...
In fact I was apparently running so fast in the last kilometre, that I passed the family without them seeing me !!
The next challenge, already set for 25th March 2007 is the Wilmslow Half Marathon, into which I have already coerced Noel Power, who had better not back out now....
I will be running for The David Lewis Centre, for whom Judy now works, a charity based in Warford, Cheshire caring for children and adults with epilepsy.
Thanks again for your help and support in raising money for Macmillan Cancer relief.
Kind Regards
Neil
