I wanted to mark my 40th in an inspiring way and do something that I could be proud of. A dear friend of mine, Chris Connors started a foundation to help the Ubombo orphanage in a remote area in South Africa. It is privately funded and homes, loves and cares for 19 children aged between 18 months and 15 years. Tragically, the majority of the children have HIV/Aids as a result of being raped between the ages of 3 and 6 years old. So I’ve decided to go to Africa this October as part of a team to help build a house for children who are ready to leave the Orphanage and get back out into their community. A new home costs £3000 to build………. I wonder if we could achieve this target together? We can try!
