About the group
We are a group of 15 ladies, most of whom work at the Haematology Day Case centre at Nottingham City Hospital. We range in age and experience, but everyone is really looking forward to the challenge and chance to raise money for the department.
Fundraising for Haematology day case. City hospital
The haematology day case centre at the city hospital is for patients with a wide range of blood disorders, both malignant and non malignant. Many of our patients are treated with chemotherapy regimes, and spend many long hours in the centre. We are hoping to raise a minimum of £5000 to help improve the experience of patients when they attend the department. We are trying to raise money to create a family room/ quiet room for patients to go when they need some privacy. Currently we have no such facility and there are numerous occasions when patients feel that they could have benefited from such a room.
