Story

********* UPDATE - WE DID IT!!!! **********

Powered by the immense generosity of every single person that has shown their support and compassion on this page, we have raised a fortune for the Trinity Hospice! Thankyou!! If you haven't already donated - please please do!

YOUR donation will make a terminal cancer patient's last months, weeks or days as comfortable as it can be.

YOUR donation will also help give comfort and support to families in extreme situations.

YOUR donation will facilitate Trinity's ability to provide the best professional AND voluntary staff using the very best equipment in the very best environment.

Quite frankly YOUR donation makes YOU awesome.

With offline donations both the Old Boys and you will be VERY close to our total.

Whilst our legs are like lumps of stone - we are so proud to have supported Trinity in memory of the lovely Lorraine.

I will post a "grand total" raised within the next 4 weeks.

Keep trucking. Keep smiling.

With love and gratitude.

Old Boys 2016.

********UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!*********

With just over 24 hours to go until our ride the Old Boys (Jimmy, Aidan, Pete, Steve, Greg & Iain) would just like to send a MASSIVE thankyou for all your amazingly kind and generous donations! You are all so very kind and we are all truly humbled..

We have smashed through £2000.00 already on this page which is phenomenal.  With outside sponsorship we really are going to raise an awful lot of money for the wonderful Trinity Hospice.

The hard bit lies ahead for us now. Another 3 day slog through the Northwest averaging 70 miles per day taking in Liverpool, Manchester, Chester and Lancaster. It won't be easy but we WILL get home powered by the marvelous donations you all made. To every person that has donated already - we sincerely cannot thank you enough.

See you at the finish!!

Old Boys.

My sister, Lorraine Cheal bravely fought a 3 and a half year fight against Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma before sadly passing away on 17th November 2015.

In Lorraine's final weeks, she was cared for by the fantastic nursing staff at Trinity Hospice and this was of comfort to everyone that knew her, knowing that they made her as comfortable as possible.

In recognition and in memory of the care given to Lorraine, myself and a small group of close friends who knew Lorraine want to repay the care given to my sister by cycling 200 miles around the North West of England to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic organisation that are there for everybody in offering such exceptional palliative care.

Please help us to raise as much money as possible by sponsoring myself and the guys. This year's ride has a large emphasis on fundraising to raise as much money as possible for Trinity Hospice.

Our friends and family have kindly sponsored us in the last couple of years with our charitable fundraising through our cycling challenges but this year's challenge is a very poignant and personal event in light of Lorraine's passing.

My friends helping me in this cycling challenge are
Aidan McEvoy, Greg McEvoy, Steve Jones, Peter Duxbury qnd our support driver is Paul Bonsor.

Thank you,

James Cheal
