Story

Hi! thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.

As many of you know 1 year ago my life changed completely when I found out I had AML (Acute Myeloid Leukaemia). I entered a world I didn't even know existed and I faced challenges I didn't know I was capable of dealing with.

Cancer treatment for children is developing all the time but its tough.

I owe my life to some pretty incredible people who work tirelessly to provide the best possible treatment and care for people like me.

Now that I am feeling stronger I am ready to take on a very different challenge to give something back to the wonderful teams who made the scariest days of my life bearable, so throughout the month of October 2018 I am taking on the challenge of riding my bike for 116 miles (1 mile for every night I spent in hospital!) to raise money for PIAM BROWN WARD (fund 0233) at Southampton Children's Hospital (Charity 1051543) and HOWARD WARD at St. Richards Hospital, Chichester to support their services to children suffering with Cancer.

I hope you can support me in this challenge! Thank you xx Olivia xx

So pleased to say that with 3 days to go I have completed my challenge!! 😀 Actually ended up doing 117.6 miles (a little bit more than 116!) I set out to do something positive that would raise some money to help the wonderful wards that helped me so much. This time last year I was cared for 24 hours a day by some incredible people who helped get me here today. And now you’re all part of my team...with your help we are going to be able to support many other children with their cancer treatment! Thank you all so so much ❤️ Xx

I’ve been a bit quiet this week on the cycling front, been feeling a bit tired! But today the sun is shining so my friend Rosie came to join me for a few miles 😀 it was great! Even got to stop off for a hang-challenge on the bars! 80.3 miles cycled so far...hard push this week to get the last 35.7 miles done. Please share with your friends so we can help the Hospital and other children as much as possible! Thank you xx @oct_bike_ride Instagram
