We are on call 24/7, 365 days a year to provide mountain search and rescue.

Story

On Friday 8th June, 30 Oxygen House Hikers, ably assisted by a fantastic support team of drivers, caterers and cheerleaders, will be taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge. Covering 23.5 miles on foot (ascending a total of 3408 metres) and 462 miles on the road, we will be climbing the highest peaks in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon), all hopefully within 24 hours.

We will be raising money in support of Mountain Rescue England & Wales and Scottish Mountain Rescue, both of whom rely solely on volunteers (on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year) to save the lives of countless stranded or injured explorers. Please donate what you can, and if you would like to, you can read more about their excellent work here:

About the charity

Mountain rescue team members are on call every day, of every month, of every year. Whatever the time, day or night. Whatever the weather. They do it voluntarily. They do it without question. At no cost to the casualty. And it's thanks to your generosity, they can continue saving lives. So thank you.
